Next update expectations Kallyas experience feedback – behind the scenes part II

In June this year, we started a survey about Kallyas user experience. The answers we received were very complex, and we wanted to let our users know that we care about their opinion when we build a product.

I decided to create 2 articles were to include the survey results. If the first article presented what people disliked about Kallyas and how we felt when we received negative feedback, the current article summarizes the expectations, the must-have and nice to have features, basically, the positive stuff.

“New Kallyas theme? I thought it was an update…’

Even if we wrote that this will be an update, still we did not make ourselves understood. The new update will be an update, the Kallyas users will not pay again the theme. Period. If you already bought the theme, you will receive the new version of our theme with the new page-builder without any extra charge. 

“I would pay more for a developer licence ($1000 or say a bulk of 10 uses for say $250) . I have bought about 15 Kallyas Licences “

While the large majority are willing to pay between $30 – $59 , there still are arousing multiple possibilities:

• a developer’s license needed: it seems many developers want a discount if they buy multiple licenses
• a not-for-profit organization license
• a  lifetime license edition
• a higher price for a bigger package of improvements

As we are currently an exclusive seller on Themeforest, there are some constraints in regards to the pricing. This means that as long as we will be selling on Themeforest, we will not be able to have developers’, a lifetime or not-for-profit licenses. Also, for those of you who complain about having to pay the support after the first 6 months, should consider this as a good example of constraint from Envato.

The next must-have and nice-to-have features 

A header builder seems to be the most wanted feature in the next update, followed by importing elements from other demos, then the library with elements and pre-designed templates and footer builder. Also, the built-in SEO and the Editing of history(undo and redo) are highly demanded features. Modifying wooCommerce options and archives from the front-end editor and creating global color palettes had over 40% of the voting. Having the ability to create archive pages, key shortcuts, WordPress customizer and WordPress theme exporter are requested by a small majority of users.

Of course, even if our developers are super-heroes, we will still not be able to add all these features from the start. So, we will make a big update, and then we will continue to improve with the above mentioned features. So please be patient…

Kallyas theme is already awesome, however I think a version with more integrations with SEO and E-commerce plugins would make this theme the first option for online sellers

DON’T change the easy of use. DONT impersonate elementer. They have a few nice things you can take from them: Ctrl+Z and history, Custom post types ect. but dont change the layout and position of the edit bar.

But compared to other themes, I would buy this again and again…and again.  You guys seriously have your shit straight…hands down. PLEASE keep up the phenominal work.
