I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. We need a membership theme, but we are being recommended to go with Avada since their themes are the best selling of all time for WordPress. However I know you have a theme specifically for memberships. But then Avada says you can customize their theme to any format you want. I am confused. I want a great theme that I can be up and running with quickly. I am confused. Please help. ?
Avada is indeed the best-selling theme of all time (on Themeforest keep this in mind), but that doesn’t mean that it is the best theme for you. Their earnings are currently at $160.000 per month and they sold by now over $15.000.000 and counting. That’s crazy right? When people hear those numbers they tell the story of Avada. Avada doesn’t even need to be promoted, because it promotes by itself, it has the best marketing out there, the worth of mouth.
This is why it is a bestseller, because people buy it like you said.. because “they were suggested”, the large number of sales helps even more on Themeforest’s search discovery. Business wise the sales should grow exponentially with every passing day because the customers database is always increasing and technically if you have a good product that “can be customized on any format you want” then that customer should purchase a second license and third one…, it is hard to beat avada, it will be number one and it will stay there for a long time. Most people would not even try any other WordPress theme, once they’re comfy in an environment.
But being number one means being the best theme forever?
We’ve tested all of our competition themes and I can tell you that Avada is far from being better than Kallyas. Actually from my opinion all the top 15 Themeforest themes under avada are better than avada. The best WordPress themes or page builders are not even on Themeforest, like divi or elementor or beaverbuilder
Personally, I don’t like that Avada is using a backend page builder, which I think is a bit outdated as workflow. You can read more about their fusion builder.
A back-end builder means that you can not see your content while building it. While most themes have a visual front-end builder including us which works like this, you create your content in front of your eyes. Like in this example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ALjCZkKuUM
Each theme has a learning curve of its own, if the person who is developing your website is familiar with avada then it will build your website with avada. So the best theme is the one you are familiar with. Doesn’t matter the tool, it matters how fast you make the job done.
If you are not familiar with no theme you could opt for any of the best WordPress themes, because the functionality of membership is not included in the theme, is most likely a plugin which you can find on Codecanyon or a free plugin. The WordPress theme only takes care of your content and most themes don’t have membership functionality built into them.

Why we think we are better than Avada and from the rest of the competition, is.. because we have our own front-end visual page builder directly integrated within the theme. Most of the WordPress themes have either a back-end builder or they are using visual composer, a third-party plugin. If something breaks with that third-party plugin you will have to wait for updates for that plugin and you can’t ask for support from the creators of the theme because they are not also the creators of the plugin.
We also have 65+ great looking pre-made designs which you can’t overlook if you are planning to build more than one website.
In conclusion, I can’t recommend you what WordPress theme to use, is just a matter of choice.
Personally, Avada would not be my first choice.

I haven’t checked in here for some time since I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are great quality so I guess I’ll add you back to my everyday bloglist. You deserve it my friend :)
